My Deaf friend told me that their friend passed away in a house fire because they couldn't hear a fire alarm...

I was appalled. 

This world is inaccessible for some. No one's life should be in danger no matter what their hearing status is.

Astronauts are going to the moon! Why can't we alert deaf and hard of hearing people be notified of sounds around them is a super simple, reliable way???

I, Drushya Musham, and my cofounder, Micah Roberson are both hearing. However, as we age, we will lose our hearing. My grandparents have sucky hearing. MILLIONS of deaf people around the world currently are facing the same problem: insufficient spatial awareness alerts.
